Storyline:  Doug, a drug addict, divorced and alone, lives in Florida, sharing custody of his daughter with his ex-wife. In the midst of a crisis, he sets out into the Gulf with his boat, determined to end his pain. However, everything changes when he encounters an injured mermaid struggling to survive. Doug helps Destiny recover, and soon the media uncovers his secret.
