Most of the violence is in the sword fights between samurai or the main character hunting demons. These scenes feature varying levels of blood and gore, with limbs being dismembered, people being impaled, and blood spraying everywhere.

A child is born with no eyes, ears, nose, limbs, or skin. It's shown a couple of times work some blood around where it's face would be an an incomplete system is veins.
Arguably the most violent scene is when one of the characters gouges out his own eyeballs with his own hands in such a manner that even the roots of the eyes are extracted. This is fully on screen but is not as extreme as it may seem, however this scene is still disturbing. This is the only scene where the violence significantly exceeds the rest of the episodes.
A child witnesses a soldier eating the dead body of another soldier.
A man allows himself to be devoured by a demon god, merging their bodies together and giving him a gruesome half-human, half-demon appearance. He's later stabbed to death by a teen, uttering his last words with a twisted smile and covered in blood. The teen stabs his body several more times, causing more blood to spurt out as he shouts at the top of his lungs.
