The main character, Ray, can be very aggressive and physical with people. Many people get punched, kicked, beaten up and there are many fist fights. The main characters own a boxing ring and there is some moderate fighting. On occasion people are shot with moderate amounts of blood. Women are beat by their partners on a couple occasions.

Characters are seen smoking cigarettes in every episode.

One character is an alcoholic. People drink every single episode. There is also occasional use of drugs, mainly weed and cocaine. A couple main characters become drug dealers and characters get mixed up with mob drug deals.
