In both versions, one character continually refers to almost anyone else as a "mongrel".

There are a few scenes depicting men strangling women with their bare hands.

The darkest Fate story

A character is chained to a wall and forced to eat a huge bug.

A character is seen trying to summon a "demon" using the blood of a couple he has just murdered, and informs their tied up and gagged child that he's going to feed him to it if it works.

A withered character is hit in the calf, causing him to scream briefly.

There are characters who stand out as exceedingly abhorrent villains who enjoy killing and the suffering of others just for the sake of it and/or consider such things mere entertainment. There are also characters who don't necessarily enjoy it, but still kill/make people suffer without remorse.
