A woman wears a negligee and kisses her husband, trying to engage him in sex. At he throws her on the bed and has violent sex with her, leaving her scared and crying afterwards. We can see his bare buttocks from a side view.

Man is tortured naked. We see his buttocks from a distance.

A woman presses up against a male friend and coworker, making a clumsy attempt to seduce him. He rebuffs her.

Carrie witnesses Jessica and Nicholas Brody preparing for sex. Jessica is shown wearing a slightly suggestive nightgown revealing significant cleavage. They begin kissing and groping each other while clothed. Carrie continues watching as they begin undressing each other. Brody pushes his wife onto the bed and thrusts violently into her. Only his rear and side nudity on Brody is visible.

Carrie changes her outfit several times and is shown in a bra.

A woman is shown topless in scant underwear being interviewed for a position in a harem. The woman is asked her questions about what types of sexual contact she would be open to and has her barely clothed crotch felt to see if she has waxed or not.

An episode begins with a sex scene between a man and his mistress, the woman who runs his harem. They are shown in bed naked as he thrusts into her from behind and gropes her bare breasts.

They both get out of bed and dress in robes, but the man returns and slips the woman's robe open revealing most of her breasts and puts a necklace around her neck. They kiss and sex is implied.

Carrie and a man have sex in a car. Thrusting is shown as well as the character's underwear being pulled down.

Carrie and a man have sex. The man has his shirt off, while Carrie has lingerie on. The entire episode involves the two's affair.

Characters are shown undressing and partially nude while taking a bath.

Towards the beginning there is a scene of a man going into a stripclub and multiple topless woman dancing. Then again a minute later on the screens in his office inside of a sex shop where women are seen topless or in thongs making suggestive moves and dancing on camera.

Some blood splatter is seen but it is mostly infrequent and offscreen.

There's some suicide bombings that are very sad. Not graphic but aftermath of disaster is seen and people seen crawling without limbs etc.

Carrie is assaulted by two men and partially stripped, then forced to strip nude. While the attack is not sexual in nature, it is clear she feels sexually assaulted.

Some very graphic and prolonged scenes of gun and knife violence which are very intense. Particularly Season 2,3 and 4.

There are also several graphic flashbacks of torture. People getting beaten to death and beaten with sticks wrapped in barb wire.

Some graphic violence, some blood spray but not a lot. One torture scene (mostly offscreen)

Frequent uses of "fuck" throughout the series.

Infrequent uses of "cunt"

Strong profanity, such as the phrase, "jesus fucking christ," is used sporadically.

Milder profanity such as "shit", "damn", and "hell" are commonly used.

A teenage girl is shown smoking pot a few times.

A woman is shown taking clozapine a few times.

Some characters drink. Some drink heavily, and then are shown going to a car to drive, or actually driving.

Some characters smoke.

There are lots of disturbing scenes throughout the show. Characters are placed in perilous situations.

This show is more suspenseful than it is violent.
