Game of Thrones (2011)

Besides being a political thriller that explores the notions of power, “Game of Thrones” stands out from the rest of the series for its peculiar implementation of death as a theme and narrative motif.

Its characteristic and impressive plot twists make “Game of Thrones” a tremendously unpredictable series, since the lives of all characters are constantly at risk.

To me, this show doesn’t work after reading the books, and I have a good reason: the show, as well as the books, are very slow and full of details. Some things are different in the two titles, what makes it confusing. My recommendation is: you should either watch the show or read the books, because the story is nothing less than awesome.
