Storyline:  In 1918, wealthy Luís Jerônimo leaves his urban lifestyle after a lung injury and follows medical advice to recover at his cousin’s farm in Vila da Mata. There, he meets Zuca, a cabocla whose life contrasts sharply with his own. As land conflicts between local colonels intensify, their relationship develops across opposing worlds.
