Foreign Bodies (1987)

Set during the background of the 30-year terrorist war in Northern Ireland involving Republican terrorists (whose objective was to achieve a United Ireland free from British rule, and who had support from the Catholic population) and Loyalist terrorists (whose objective was to strike back against Republicans and the Catholic population who sympathised with them) with the British Crown Forces (Police and Army obliged to maintain law and order). This is the story of "forbidden" love between two young men from the devoutly Unionist and Protestant Shankill Road area of Belfast who pursue love interests with two Irish Catholic nurses working in the nearby Belfast City Hospital, often with hilarious consequences.
