A ranger is bitten by a foreign bug and infected, bite wound, slowly enflames the characters veins and maybe unpleasent to sensitive viewers, character slowly mutates into a monster and passes on infection to another teammate.

A number of characters are badly injured or killed during the course of the series, though not in graphic fashion.
