Grin and Build it (2011)

Grin and Build It is a reality/home renovation series with a twist. Each episode takes couples out of their comfort zones through the renovation of one room in their home. There are rules and unexpected twists and turns that challenge the established patterns of the homeowners' relationships. Host/designer Heather Smillie and contractor Jon Giacomelli work hand-in-glove with homeowners as they attempt to smooth over differences of design opinion and navigate the rocky road of home improvement - over a three day weekend. The stage is set for everything from agony and frustration to empowerment and laughter. Who will crack first? Will they make it through the weekend and how will things look in the end?
