No question, black people live a marginalized existence in every field and form of human endeavor; "All Lives Matte...r" "If they were black..." "If they were white...""Did you use your white voice?" "You can't wear your hair like that." "Diversity is good but don't take it too far." "He's got a gun!" "Why haven't black people rebelled?" and so on - These few examples, along with countless others that has molded and shaped the black experience in this country began to be points I traced, in episodic form, for a TV series that would outline the shape black people are in. This....limited space in which black people must co-exist with just to...be...black, began to feel like a Bermuda Triangle-d adventure. A place where the survival of everyone depends upon this weird vortex only black people could navigate. A place where things go wrong.
