Storyline:  This is the story of Bass Reeves, one of the first african americans to become sheriff west of the Mississippi River. He went from suffering from slavery to being a law enforcement authority, earning a reputation; still, he had to face the weight of his role and see how it impacted his beloved family. A thrilling western with incredible characters and strong performances by Dennis Quaid and David Oyewolo, as well as an excellent screenplay. If you like westerns, then you shouldn't miss it.
