The series presents the fate of two heroines - one living in the modern capital and the other: living in interwar Warsaw. The diary of Maria Kielicz, which accidentally falls into the hands of a young architecture student, Zosia, is the clamp that binds two women's stories together. Along with its pages, a story about dilemmas, ambitions and romantic choices of women looking for the truth about themselves develops. Zosia discovers the story of her great-grandmother. In 1936, Maria, a single mother with a degree in architecture, comes to the interwar capital to start a new life. In Warsaw, a woman becomes Jan Wedel's assistant. She quickly becomes his trusted employee and confidant of the secrets of the most thriving chocolate factory in Europe.
