Love & Death (2023)

Candy Montgomery and Betty Gore have a lot in common: the church choir they attend, their daughters who are best friends and husbands with good jobs while all living in the suburbs of a quiet Texas town. That's only the surface, however, as the two slowly forge a strained relationship that manifests itself through unspoken frustrations and unrequited desires. This miniseries cleverly plays with ambiguity through its characters, giving them a nuanced nature, in turn heightened by masterful performances from Elizabeth Olsen and Jesse Plemons.
