The Myth or History Team is a collective of amateur historians based on Nova Scotia's South Shore. In early 2020, they discovered the ruins of a settlement building in the grassy overgrowth in the barrens of Nova Scotia. Initial searches located the ruins of a structure. Aerial images were taken for examination. Upon review, the structure was revealed as the same size and dimensions as the Viking longhouses in L'Anse aux Meadows, Newfoundland. The team then discovered a small artifact. Sent for professional identification, the man-made object was carbon tested as being over a thousand years old. More discoveries continued; grave sites, an aqueduct system, and quarried waterways. Each discovery further supports a unique theory... Could this site be the legendary Vinland? The questions don't stop there, and the team is determined to find answers. Could Vikings have had a significant settlement in Nova Scotia? Could there have been a non-indigenous presence some 600 years before the recorded arrival of Christopher Columbus? Could this settlement be the work of Irish Monks or Basque Fishermen?
