This drama tells the historical story of Mao Zedong, a young man who returned from the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China from 1921 to 1927 with concerns about where the Chinese nation would go. In the process of steadfastly practicing his Marxist beliefs, he transformed from a follower to a pioneer and explorer, and explored the correct path of the Chinese revolution as an "explorer" and "early adopter".
