As early as 3,600 years ago, the fire god Zhu Rong, who used to live in the Central Plains, was expelled by the Shang Dynasty, so he moved his clan southward, and finally landed in the humid and hot barbaric area in the south after a lot of hard work. They named themselves the "Chu People", and although they were on the frontier, they always thought of returning to the Central Plains. The leader of the Chu people, Sai Xiong, helped the Zhou Dynasty to overthrow the rule of Shang Zhou, but did not receive the respect and fiefdom they deserved, and the southern tour of King Zhao of Zhou completely dashed their expectations of the Son of Heaven. The Chus began to try to expand into the Central Plains, as represented by the promising emperors such as Xiong Qu, Xiong Tong, and King Zhuang of Chu. The War of Invasion and Followership, the coming expedition of Duke Huan of Qi, the Battle of Cheng Pu, and the Battle of Wu and Chu. Hundreds of years of brutal wars tempered the iron will of the Chu people, and the foundation of 800 years gradually went to prosperity, as well as to decline and extinction. Based on a large number of historical records and unearthed artifacts, the film recreates for the audience the magnificent history of the Chu kingdom.
