2023 UPDATE: Another apology is due from myself to this community as I have let this sit idle for far too long (again). I'm back on Letterboxd now and have updated this list for 2023. As I mentioned in 2020, the growth of this site required me raise the minimum view count from 2k to 4k. I think we need to bump that again, so I'm now setting a minimum view count of 15k for feature films to be eligible to make this list in order to prevent it from becoming too bloated. Liu Yude, a young student, becomes involved in a rebellion against the oppressive Manchu government, led by the ruthless General Tien Ta.
