Once upon a time, there was no internet, no streaming, no infinite on-demand supply of content. There was the cinema and there was over-the-air tv and on that tv there were three major networks (via VHF) plus a few local stations (via UHF). Buried amidst the regular programming of news, sitcoms, dramas and reruns, movies came to us long after they’d vanished from theaters, sometimes years later.
