In 1930s Korea under Japanese occupation, Sookee, a young woman, is hired as a maid to Hideko, a wealthy heiress living in seclusion. Without Hideko's knowledge, Sookee is secretly part of a plot to seduce her, steal her fortune, and imprison her in a mental institution.
