In Wabasha, lifelong rivals and neighbors Max and John continue their feud despite John’s recent marriage to Ariel. When an Italian divorcée opens a restaurant at the local bait shop, tensions rise again. While the townspeople fear for their fishing spot, Max discovers that love might still find him in the unlikeliest of places.

John and Max are elderly next-door neighbors who are constantly arguing with and insulting each other, and they have now been doing so for over 50 years. One day, gorgeous Ariel moves into the neighborhood; both men are attracted to her and their rivalry roars into high gear.
