La ciencia del universo.Eddie Redmayne da una de las actuaciones más importantes de su carrera en "La teoría del todo", una película que rinde homenaje a la vida y obra de Stephen Hawking a través de un trabajo técnicamente perfecto.

Eddie Redmayne puts in a remarkable effort in the portrayal of Stephen Hawking, bringing life to the character and adding much depth to the film. It is a finely crafted movie with impressive artistic direction and memorable soundtracks. The relationship between Hawking and Jane is indeed quite dramatic, even though our understanding of it is mostly through Jane's recount. Time truly is the ultimate test of love, and with this notion conveyed to the audience, the final scene was elevated to a whole new level.
7.3 out of 10. The movie's intended message is quite clear: love is the solution to every problem. Consequently, what should have been a biographical film of Stephen Hawking had become a love story, with the other aspects of the great scientist's life being merely a backdrop. As a result, we are left with a questionable blend of a convoluted romantic drama and an oversimplified biography.
It's a movie, so it doesn't need to fully resemble reality. Even if we had Jane's biography as a reference, can we really say that we know exactly how they interacted with each other? All I want to say is that both the male and female protagonists did a fantastic job. Seeing Eddie's dedication in his performance made me grateful for my good health and the simple fact that I'm free to move around.
I think it would be more appropriate to give this movie a 7 out of 10. The acting is great, but the storytelling is average. While my friend was weeping during the show, I found myself unable to form a connection with it. The way they immediately fell in love and formed such a deep connection felt a little too rushed for me. Jane's unwavering and selfless love towards Hawking, as well as her determination to stay by his side, all felt too good to be true. Maybe I just have a hard time believing in love...
They picked the best cast for the roles. Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones both delivered their best performances to date. Felicity's determined gaze in the show was particularly captivating. Because the film focuses on the love and private life of the great scientist, thus extensively employs both cool and warm soft lighting, shallow depth of field, ultra-fast lenses, and Super 8 lenses to replicate the right kind of vibe. It is a clever and fitting approach. Hawking is unfortunate to have suffered from such an illness, yet he is fortunate to have found someone like Jane Wilde. Here's to the strong and selfless women!
This is not a biopic of Stephen Hawking, but the woman behind him. While his mind roams in the universe, her world becomes confined within the four walls of their home. Perhaps she understood better than the rest of us that love cannot survive on the admiration for a brilliant mind alone. P.S. Eddie Redmayne’s acting really left me crying my eyes out.
I've never been a fan of those films that obviously try to tick all the boxes for a run for the Oscar. Even though the characters are flat and the story is mediocre, with beautiful cinematography, a captivating score, and dedicated performances, the film can still make people think of it as something larger than it actually is. The story of Hawking's love and marriage almost bore a striking resemblance to "Tuya's Marriage”. Such a love story can indeed touch people, but fundamentally, this film is yet another run-of-the-mill movie that capitalizes on the intrinsic mystics of famous people's love lives, while glorifying everything else about them. It's as uninspiring as every other superhero movie out there.
