At Christmas even the haters have fun.Classics always return, and this time it was the turn of the grumpiest Christmas character of all. A perfect movie to enjoy with the family during the holidays.

The logic and details of many old films may not hold up under close examination, and the visual effects definitely can't compete with the level of sophistication we have today. However, what makes those films timeless is their key message. This film conveys that Christmas isn't about presents but about spending time with family, and coupled with the male lead's excellent acting and funnily exaggerated expressions, as well as the general lightheartedness, make it a decent movie. One minor drawback, however, is how average the special effects are for a movie made in 2000.
Noisy conflicts followed by noisy reconciliations. The most clear-headed and action-oriented person in the crowd is the little girl with long eyelashes who hasn't even grown into a Who nose yet. She single-handedly fights back against the commercialization of Christmas, bringing Christmas back to its simple, joyful, and loving essence. The Grinch's school days remind me of "Wonder" - not every "outsider" is lucky enough to have a warm childhood, and the rest may spend a lifetime healing from it.
It's really unique, especially the performances. I think it's even better than the animated version, one being Jim Carrey's involvement, and the other being the dramatic exaggerated performances. The live-action film manages to capture the same magic as the animation, which is quite impressive. However, the juvenile story doesn't resonate with me. It’s just not my thing...
I gotta be honest and say that Grinch's makeup is plain ugly. I just can't force myself to ignore this fact. However, the reflection on the meaning of Christmas is actually good - what's more important than Christmas presents is being with the people we love and cherish.
Adapted from a fairytale, it tells the story of the mean, narrow-minded Grinch, who hates the cheerful Christmas atmosphere in Whoville. So he decides to steal everyone's Christmas presents to ruin the entire holiday. The movie has director Ron Howard as the voice-over narrator. Well, it's a kid's movie, so you are probably not the intended audience if you actually thought about it. Then again, it might be a pretty good choice for a family movie night.

Jim.Me fizeram ver esse filme depois de tanto tempo, e o Jim Carrey ainda não me convence haha o cara é exagerado demais, podia ser um pouquinho menos
The best anti-Christmas Christmas movie!.This was, by far, Jim Carrey's best performance. And I don't even get me started on costume and make up, this was an overall superb job, bless everyone who was a part of this project.
