Lindo.

Revisiting this timeless animated gem from my childhood, I find myself just as engrossed in it as ever. At its core, the story feels like a delightful animal-centric twist on "Hamlet," but instead of vengeance, it delves into themes of personal growth and the weight of responsibility. The voice actors truly breathe life into the animal characters, and Hans Zimmer's iconic soundtracks add an extra layer of charm. This film strikes a perfect balance between seriousness and whimsy, darkness and warmth, making it a captivating watch for both adults and children alike. It's a solid 9/10 in my book.
The visuals in "The Lion King" are absolutely breathtaking, evoking the grandeur of a classic epic tale, while offering refreshing perspectives in the process. The animal characters have such finesse, striking a perfect balance between human-like traits and their true animal nature. And can we talk about the scenery? It's nothing short of spectacular - each frame is a work of art. Plus, the blend of African music and rock? Pure magic. It's harmonious and enjoyable, adding another layer of richness to an already incredible movie.

7 out of 10. It’s a Hamlet-esque story with a somewhat simple single-line narrative. It’s visually warm and colorful, and the music is very good; the singing and dancing don’t affect the narrative, but rather reinforce the revelry of this movie. But other than that, I don’t think it’s much better than any other regular Disney animation.
It appears that Disney deserves its reputation as the industry leader; the story may not have something new to offer, but the way it's presented is very appealing. The production is well crafted and detailed, even incorporating operatic elements (which still surprises me today), and the characters are excellent. While maintaining a good quality of audiovisuals, it also has a remarkable depth: "[T]he sun rolling high; through the sapphire sky; keeps great and small on the endless round. It's the circle of life, and it moves us all" - this is precisely what we should present to our future generations.
A classic is a classic precisely because it can't be duplicated, and The Lion King is one such classic. Every detail is brilliant, every piece of music is beautiful, and it's appropriately humourous and is touching throughout. This movie will never be outdated no matter what era it's watched in, as it’s just legendary.
