Scary.A zombie apocalypse is one of my favorite settings for movies/shows, and The Walking Dead is a great show, but I always missed some answers when it comes to the origin of the walkers. That being said, I love this show. The beginning is chaotic, seeing cities full of scared people trying to run from something they don’t even understand yet. The characters are deep, even if you don’t like them you have to admit they have a story.

I'd heard a lot about this show, but it turned out to be a letdown. The pacing is too slow, so the show doesn't have that intense, thrilling vibe of a zombie movie. There are too many long, drawn-out scenes and pointless dialogue, which can make the show really boring sometimes. I mean, I only saw two zombies in the first two episodes, and even after sticking with it for two more episodes, it was still just a few zombies here and there. It's just too dull. I had to wait until the sixth episode to finally see a horde of zombies! I can't believe a show like this could get almost a 7 out of 10. It's kind of ridiculous, to be honest.
This show is more than just a spin-off; it's a solid and impactful addition that enriches the original series. Despite some plot oversights and flaws, it does a remarkable job of authentically portraying the unfolding disaster, turning secret rumors into present reality. The show covers a range of events, from governmental oppression to civilian resistance, from mob brutality to military misconduct, laying bare the moral decay and societal collapse, sending shivers down my spine. The portrayal of human nature in the show blurs the line between good and evil. The story gets more profound and impactful with every new episode.
I didn't even realize the first season wrapped up like that. The first episode had all the suspense I was looking for in a zombie outbreak, but the subsequent episodes are all just huge disappointments. It's not just the slow pace that's the issue; it's that there is just no actual story progression. Even when they went all out in the last episode with a bunch of zombies, it didn't really make a significant impact. It just felt meh. The first season was pretty underwhelming. We've already seen "The Walking Dead," so let's see if the new series actually brings anything impressive to the table.
