Everybody loves it.This cast is so great that they look like a real family. Chris Rock’s voice-over is the funniest, and Tyler James Williams is so good that, every time I’m talking to someone about the real Chris, Tyler is the first image that comes to my mind.

Super funny, but I wonder how much of the humor of it was the Brazilian dubbing
A first-person perspective of a black family, narrated with a rhythmically humorous tone, depicting the despicable school bullying, the annoying little sister who files complaints, the tired dad working two jobs, the frugal blue-collar family, the normalized crime in the black neighborhood, racial discrimination, and the extension of denying racial discrimination (the sympathetic math teacher). Despite the rather unpleasant realities of life, Chris can adapt and maintain self-respect, confidence, and narrate everything with a comedic tone.
Black humor permeates the entire show, addressing racial discrimination throughout. It's funny yet poignant. Brought to America by white people as slaves, even after emancipation, they still face discrimination because they're black. The hardworking dad who struggles to support his family, the strong-willed mom who quits her job at the drop of a hat, and the loving family. Chris' life is really tough; he can't get a girl, but it's partly his fault. He didn't stand up for the girl in the beginning when she was teased, he wanted to break up with Tasha because he found her clingy, and there's that girl next door who spread rumors about him, and his principle was always to never bully girls and to be nice to them. Still, I like his little brother; he embodies the attractiveness of black people, just like his dad. Although he loves money like his dad, he's still good to his sister, and he's quite popular with girls.
