Are there many people like me who are used to listening to Indiana Jones, but have never seen the earliest trilogy of this series? Recently, I finally found these three films and watched them.
Indiana Jones early trilogy is divided into: ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ (1981), ‘Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom’ (1984), ‘Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade’ (1989). ‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’ (2008) and ‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’ (2023), which will be released this year, have a total of five films. The first four films that have been released are all directed by Spielberg and starring Harrison Ford.

The protagonist Indiana Jones is a name that almost every movie fan can remember and praise except 007. In TV series ‘Friends’ (1994), when Ross introduced himself as a Ph.D. in archeology, the store sales lady flattered him and said: Oh, Indiana Jones! So, Ross smiled happily and embarrassedly.
Unlike 007, Indy has never been involved in national intelligence work, but only haunts legends. He has the courage, knowledge and "intellectual conscience" to save all kinds of treasures (Part Two: The Temple of Doom seems A bit deviated from the main line of treasure hunting). While 007 shuttled among too many beauties, conspiracies, and luxury cars, he was too domineering and arrogant, while Indy was more peaceful and legendary. Of course, it has to be said that the sex appeal of Indy, played by Harrison Ford, is absolutely captivating for men, women, anyone, and cannot be surpassed. Even in Harrison's old age, there was no substitute for his poised and masculine demeanor. And this man with a deep voice who gets more attractive as he gets older can never disappoint movie fans. It may be because of this that, Ford, who was born in 1942, will bring you the fifth Indiana Jones after he is 80 years old.

The earliest trilogy was filmed from 1981 to 1987. After more than 30 years, the films still look wonderful now, and the protagonist is full of challenges in the film. Today, the fighting scenes and funny clips in many movies have traces of the Indiana Jones series. In order to create the feeling of the 1930s, the film crew unplugged hundreds of antennas when shooting in Little Cairo and Venice. It is a great test and breakthrough for both the film crew and the actors.
The whole series is full of various types of fighting and chasing scenes. As long as it is the means of transportation that people can use at that time, they are basically used for chasing, but there is no feeling of boredom.

It is said that the treasure hunt is the originator of adventure films, and I think such praise is not an exaggeration. If there is a movie that makes people who have watched all kinds of high-tech movies still fascinated after more than 20 years, such a movie can definitely be called a classic.
For fighting movies, it may be difficult to dig into people's deep emotions. The things that men like are different from those of women. They simply come to sink and play, and they are purely devoted to the feast of vision. The same is true for Indiana Jones series. Oddly enough, in the original trilogy, all three films are on par, except for the second, The Temple of Doom, which is a bit darker. The fourth part, The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which was released in 2008, is still wonderful. This year, the fourth part of the Indiana Jones series will be shown. I don’t know that after 15 years from the fourth part, the fifth part with a new director is Can it push the series to a higher level, or subvert the honor of the series? After all, Harrison Ford will be 81 years old in July 2023, and this one is likely to be the last time he plays Indiana Jones.

As for the fifth film "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny" to be released in 2023, the director has been replaced by James Mangold, who is a director who has been nominated for two Oscars, namely: 2018, the 90th Academy Awards Award, Best Adapted Screenplay Nomination, Logan (2017); 2020, 92nd Academy Awards, Best Picture Nomination, Ford v Ferrari (2019). In addition, he is also the director of The Wolverine (2013), and will be with Cooperating with DC to shoot the film Swamp Thing (2025) planned by DC Chapter One: Gods and Monsters. It can be seen that Mangold's director ability is very strong, and we can look forward to the latest Indiana Jones with peace of mind.
