The wildest indie filmmaking competition is taking over Vancouver once again for its 10th anniversary Film Festival!
Run N Gun is a high-octane 48-hour filmmaking competition where teams race against the clock to write, shoot, and edit a short film—all within a single weekend. This past May, 160 teams from across British Columbia took on the challenge, hitting the streets, studios, and backyards to bring their stories to life in just two days.
Between June 23 and July 5, Run N Gun will showcase every film from this years competition at these jam-packed screening events:
June 23: 'Starting Off Short' + 'Monday Night Mayhem'
Featuring upbeat shorts from rising young filmmakers, then the Mayhem begins with a bold mix of action, fantasy, and emotionally charged stories.
June 24: 'High Art' + 'Trippy Tuesday'
These screenings will take you on a wild trip! From quirky animations to rap videos to interdimensional weirdness, this lineup is as unpredictable as it is unmissable.
June 25: 'Cursed Cuts' + 'A Nightmare on East Broadway'
Dive headfirst into the weird, wild, and deeply unsettling, with horror, sci-fi, gore, and animated nightmares. It's Run N Gun's After Dark block, so buckle up and bring someone brave to squeeze.
July 5: The Main Event
This is it! The Top 40 films from this years competition are hitting the big screen at the legendary Orpheum Theatre. It’s Vancouver’s biggest indie film blowout of the year, and you won’t want to miss it.
