Is the Mission truly over?

I watched Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning, which was different from what I expected. I'm not sure if they borrowed some concepts from Scientology in this one, but they pulled on some of Tom's previous work, such as Minority Report. The movie poses some interesting prospects considering super AIs and what they have the potential to do. It's almost like it was an anti-Matrix storyline that brought things back into perspective, as that coincides with a time where AI is taking over pretty

MAD was Robot Chicken but for kids

I was born in 2004, and by that time I already had the chance to choose between several cartoon channels: Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Disney XD, Nick Jr, Nickelodeon, Discovery Kids, and last but not least… Cartoon Network. I went through different phases. When I was between 3 and 5, I preferred Disney Junior and Nick Jr. Then, I grew up a little more and leaned more towards Disney Channel, Disney XD… but after that, my heart stuck with CN. And even though I liked Disney and Nick’s shows way

Why we Need to Appreciate more the 2009 remake of Friday the 13th?

Friday the 13th made his comeback on 2009 with a movie directed by Marcus Nispel and stars Jared Padalecki, Danielle Panabaker, Travis Van Winkle, among others and it‘s one of the best entries in the whole franchise. Unlike the crazy attempts to remake this movie, it combines the original, Part 2 and 3 in the same mixture and it give us a new Jason in the process, were he‘s more dangerous, agil, survivor, brutal and fast. Also, he has a High IQ, he‘s not slow like a turtle, actually it feels lik

Caribbean Currents: Two Standout Films from Florida and Puerto Rico

Recently, I had the pleasure of watching two new Caribbean films that premiered at major North American film festivals; they have since drawn considerable attention. One is River of Grass, a Florida-based documentary that won the Jury Prize-International Feature Documentary at Toronto’s Hot Docs. The other is This Island, a Puerto Rican drama that made its debut at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. River of Grass is a lyrical ode to director Sasha Wortzel’s hometown, approached with a non-r

Captain America : Brave New World- Review

⭐️⭐️½ 🎬 Captain America: Brave New World 📝 Review by Cinegram Despite the heavy hype and the return of beloved MCU characters, Captain America: Brave New World lands somewhere between bold ambition and missed opportunity. While Anthony Mackie embraces his new role as Sam Wilson/Captain America with conviction, the film struggles to balance its themes, action, and political undertones. The return of classic characters like Betty Ross (Liv Tyler) and Samuel Sterns/The Leader (Tim Blake Nelson) i

Angelina Jolie. a woman who inspires strength

The Evolution of Intensity: From Rebellion to Depth Angelina Jolie has always possessed a magnetic intensity on screen, a quality that propelled her to fame in films like "Girl, Interrupted," where her performance earned her an Oscar. To further refine her craft, Jolie could explore more subtle nuances of that intensity, transforming it from an overt, external force into a manifestation of deep internal conflicts. By allowing her penetrating gaze and minimal gestures to tell complex stories, she

The Pianist 2002

The Pianist 2002 The first time I watched "The Pianist," I was completely immersed in the heartbreaking reality it portrayed. The film, directed by Roman Polanski, doesn't just tell the story of Władysław Szpilman, a brilliant Polish Jewish pianist; it becomes an intimate journey through the horrors of the Holocaust. From the very beginning, the camera plunges us into Szpilman's pre-war life, an existence full of music and promise, only to brutally snatch it away. What struck me most was the bru

The Legend...Wax On, Wax Off ~ Karate Kid

This movie…it's good from where it starts with showing Jackie Chan and following up from The Karate Kid which Jaden Smith was in opposite Jackie in 2010. And the premise from there is great, but when Jackie's character goes to see Mr. Miyagi and steps in front of his memorial shrine, all the waterworks I never anticipated came pouring forth, and I was glued to the screen. It's a beautiful movie, and it fully encompasses so many aspects of martial arts history and legend that make it one of the i
