Biography

Manning Mpinduzi-Mott is a self-described theatre addict. In his more than thirty years as a Houston-based actor and director, Mr. M has delighted and enlightened audiences across the country. He has performed locally at Stages, Main Street Theatre, the Ensemble, and A D Players. He performed with the national touring shows The Diary of Black Men by Thomas Meloncon and Camp Logan by Celest Colson Walker. Notable stage performances include: The Author in Valley Song at Stages, "the Player" in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead at Actors Theatre, The Father in The Yellow Boat, Private Henson in A Soldiers Play, and Boochie Reed In East Texas Hot Links. Film and video credits include the movies Rushmore, Space Cowboys, and Red Ink; two episodes of Walker, Texas Ranger, and numerous radio and TV commercials. As a lighting designer and member of I.A.T.S.E Loacl 51, he is at home on either side of the boards. He has served as technical director at The Ensemble Theatre, Texas Southern Univ
