Biography

"I'm not dangerous, but I have a sharp nose. I'll probably play bad guys forever because of my face." Pedro Pascal is famous for captivating audiences with his playful and irreverent charm. Born José Pedro Balmaceda Pascal in Santiago, Chile, his family sought political asylum in the United States because of his opposition to military dictator Augusto Pinochet. Pascal's career in film and television spans a wide range of genres, with science fiction and action projects as his signature. Starting with minor TV roles in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Law and Order," his consecration came with his portrayal of Oberyn Martell in "Game of Thrones" and Javier Pena in "Narcos." He was also acclaimed for his role in "The Mandalorian," which earned him a Critics Choice Awards nomination, and later in "The Last of Us," demonstrating his versatility in one of the most ambitious video game adaptations. Also in "Kingsman: The Golden Circle", "Wonder Woman 1984", and alongside Ethan Hawke in Pedro Almodovar's short western "Strange Way of Life". While he enjoys well-deserved success that has helped pave the way for greater Latino representation, he maintains a great deal of humility. From his self-deprecating and hilarious social media videos to Saturday Night Live, where he pokes fun at his leading man status, Pascal also champions LGBTQ+ causes, using his platform to amplify their voices.
