Storyline:  James Cole, a prisoner in the post-apocalyptic year 2035, is offered parole in exchange for time travel to 1996 to prevent a devastating plague. Sent back to 1990, Cole's warnings are dismissed as delusions, leading to his imprisonment in a mental institution. Facing suspicion and mental instability, his mission becomes a race against time to find the source of the virus.
