Plantão Cinéfilo's review about American Hustle(2013)

The one time you'll get hustled and love it.I knew I was gonna love this right from the opening scene when a '70s-styled, semi-bald Bale combs around tufts of hair to try and cover up his bald patches. I could not help myself. Now, there are many 'heist' movies around, they're a dime a dozen these days, and I may be biased because I thoroughly enjoyed this one so much, but I sort of almost thik this wan the one that started the new kind of hype wave of heist movies we're seeing now, in a way. If not, I'll still defend it influenced it loads: it sets a specific pacing, a level and style of acting, a look, an *aura*, the cast is impeccable, the plot-twists are *the* plot-twists (or were, at the time), even maybe types of characters. But I digress. Just go and watch it, it's pretty cool.
