10 years later, it is still unparalleled in the haunted house genre.

The iconic thing about The Conjuring is that it doesn't follow the convention of deliberately creating sound effects and vibes like what other horror movies do. Instead, its subtle layout and conception make the horror grow and progress along with the plot. The excellent pacing mobilizes the audience's emotions freely, and the ending makes this horror film, based on real events, even more amazing.

The greatest fear brought about by horror movies is not so much from the scares in the film, but the fact that it will cause you to fear your surroundings for a very long time. Phones, televisions, elevators, cars, mirrors, dolls, music boxes, closets, sheets, curtains, basements, attics, stairs, dumpsters, bathrooms, etc. Everything seems so dangerous from then on. El conjuro me hizo querer darla la oportunidad a las películas de "miedo".A mi no me gustaba ver películas de terror porque creo que son muy exageradas, sabes que es irreal y no logran llevarme al filo de la angustia que un buen thriller o cinta de suspenso hasta que vi el conjuro, gran película, totalmente convincente y atrapadora. Excelente guion y dirección. Por esta cinta me atreví a ser más abierta al genero.

Uma franquia muito bem-sucedida.James Wan usou suas técnicas inventivas de filmagem para dar uma identidade própria a "Invocação do Mal", o primeiro dos filmes relacionados ao casal Warren. Não à toa, as produções seguintes construíram uma das franquias mais bem-sucedidas fora do universo dos super-heróis.
