Patrick Lorenzo's review about Supernatural(2005)

this was always so good. could have ended a few seasons before, but you cannot stop loving the characters, for real.

Throughout its 15-year run, this show has created some great characters but ultimately didn't handle them as well as it could have. Some of the ideas were truly outstanding, but they just weren't executed well. Even though they brought back many old characters to play on our nostalgia, it still couldn't mask the emptiness at the core of the series. Honestly, I wasn't really satisfied with the final season, but I'm grateful that it finally came to an end.

The special effects are as low-budget and terrible as ever, and the plot patterns are, as always, predictable. There's never any real sense of danger or death in the "Supernatural" universe. When compared to similar horror shows from the past two years, it's clear that "Supernatural" doesn't quite measure up. Instead, it's a show that depends heavily on the charm of its actors and the passion of its fanbase.
