The story isn't that original. The highlight is the humor interspersed throughout without cultural stereotypes, and the use of highly saturated colors in the South American setting. Personally, I empathize with this somewhat mystical tale of miracles and curses, as it triggered a certain trauma of mine I'd encountered this year. And the last line, "The miracle is you", and "your future [is] undecided," seems to be addressing me. The movie's message of "female awakening" is fine, and there are no obnoxious characters. I like it.
