The characters are fully brought to life within the three-hour span, with each character getting just the right amount of screen time to flesh them out fully. The handling of certain scenes is truly exceptional, with the environment, sound, lighting, and props all seamlessly integrated. For example, the scene where they change rooms in the hospital is edited masterfully, with the close-up shot capturing the tears in the Godfather's eyes amidst the chaos. Another standout is the segment featuring the baptism and the slaughter, through the use of parallel editing, which is truly gripping, gradually elevating the next generation of Godfather with a juxtaposition of joy and ruthlessness.
