Once you've started watching it, there's no going back at all. This show is so addictive that it'll get you hooked in no time. Don't let the name mislead you. It has no cheesy lines or predictable plots. The best thing about this show is the intense storyline and amazing lead actors whom you'll likely never forget. You'll feel how passionate the directors are about the show and its intensity. "The Vampire Diaries" has done so well across various genres, whether they be thrillers or romances. The show contains some serious badass villains as well, and they are so wonderfully portrayed that viewers can fall for them too. There will be moments when you'll laugh and cry with them, and you'll connect with them so intimately that it'll feel like you're a part of the story! I just wanna say that if you haven't watched it yet, grab some snacks and binge on it because this is a show one can never get bored of.

Admittedly, it started terribly, full of clichés and cheesy connotations with vampires. But, like most reviews have stated, after episode 4, the show takes a different direction and moves away from traditional vampire themes. It starts to excel and turns into a very exciting and watchable television show with an incredibly good-looking cast and very impressive acting. The script is fabulous, full of exciting and unpredictable plot twists that will have you on the edge of your seat and desperately wanting to catch the next episode.
