Alexandre-W's review about A Clockwork Orange(1971)

There were two pieces of metaphors that didn't quite make sense: the backlit shots and the milk imagery. The shots in the movie that explain the relationships of the characters, the scenes, and the events going on are simply textbook. The composition, framing and use of different focal lengths of lenses are also detailed; long sporting shots are also very well thought out, and it turns out that this is the level of the anti-utopian storytelling of the cinematic patriarch Kubrick.

Kubrick's narrative deconstructs the relationship between society and individual violence. While its shock value has diminished over time, the innovative ideas remain. The cycle where an individual is deemed violent by society and then "cured" through societal violence is profound. Kubrick’s contribution to cinema lies in his masterful use of film language and scene composition.

La volví a ver ayer y capté cosas que la primera vez que la vi no pude. Un abrazo maestra adelantada a su época, hablando de la violencia, la salud mental y la manipulación de los gobiernos sobre las sociedades en crisis. Muy metafórica y una gran dirección del maestro.

Um filme para refletir.Alocado em um futuro desalentador, o filme mostra a jornada errática de um jovem e sua gangue naquela sociedade, destruindo tudo por onde passam. Ganharemos a substância da história quando esse jovem é preso por um assassinato, recebendo a oportunidade de atenuar a sua pena se aceitar participar de um experimento científico. Obra-prima de Stanley Kubrick, "Laranja Mecânica" exacerba os caminhos patológicos que uma sociedade apresenta, contando uma história potente e com diversas ponderações sobre o cerne humano no mundo.

Para os cults de plantão….O que o filme está querendo mostrar é que no fundo todos nós somos laranjas mecânicas, estamos sendo submetidos a lavagens cerebrais continuas que nos condicionam e governam, às vezes, de forma subliminar.

Um clássico.Um dos principais nomes dos filmes "cults". Kubrick sabe usar a violência ao seu favor e criou um dos seus melhores filmes.
