Lulito's review about See(2019)

The conceptualization of a "world without sight" is mostly logical, illustrating how humankind adapts to different forms of survival, yet the constant struggle for power remains unchanged.

The theme and setting is unique, especially highlighting how vulnerable and taken-for-granted elements like vision/light, akin to modern civilization, can easily be lost. Unfortunately, the addition of excessive melodramatic plots and the concentration of conflicts within familial relationships shifts the focus of the overarching theme to shallower and less engaging points, rendering the series uninteresting.

The portrayal of a post-apocalyptic society reverting to primitivism fails to convince me. It's hard to imagine a calamity so huge as to erase all traces of modern civilization, making it difficult for me to immerse in the narrative.

While the unique premise is intriguing, the plot and its progression resort to clichés, essentially revolving around children being reckless and then being saved by the parents and vice versa. The characters also start reflecting on their lives during the crucial moments, recounting their, dark pasts, before eventually gaining mutual forgiveness and fighting together to overcome adversaries.

The story's narrative attempt at revisiting civilization is rather uncaptivating, dull and lacking innovation. A worldview predicated on a foundation of rationality must not only be eye catching but also be plausible, making it a challenge to achieve balance between the two. Beyond presenting outcomes, it's also crucial to depict the struggles leading to those outcomes, yet the series seems to be rather lax in this aspect.
