Plantão Cinéfilo's review about Law & Order: Special Victims Unit(1999)

Raw and real.This was a very smart, but also sensible, spin-off of the original. Everything is incredibly deep-cutting and Mariska Hargitay was shooting to kill (pun intended or not) since she set foot on that set for the first time. Later on, in more recent seasons, when they started doing sort of "re-creations" of situations that actually happened in real life, I couldn't decide whether I was a little miffed on one hand, while on the other I thought it was a way to call attention to certain cases where justice has not been served (but that would have required further research on my part; regardless), and to be honest, I still haven't. It's still a great show I never pass on the opportunity to watch, though.
