The Batman: Part II starring Robert Pattinson was confirmed by Gunn to be released on October 3, 2025, which is a ‘The Batman’ (2022) sequel. The movie will premiere the same year as the DCU's Superman: Legacy.

Gunn also confirmed that Joker: Folie a Deux, a ‘Joker’ (2019) sequel, is being tagged as a DC ELSEWORLDS project, which will feature the Joker and Harley Quinn.

The upcoming Superman movie, written by Ta-Nehisi Coates and produced by J.J. Abrams, will feature a black Superman. It is still in development and will also join the DC ELSEWORLDS project.

Gunn emphasized "The standard of DC ELSEWORLDS will be higher than that of the DCU main world. It is an independent film and will cost more money to create."

If Batman: Part II is a success at the box office, it will likely receive another film to round out the trilogy, and Joker will likely do the same. As far as Coates' Superman movie goes, if it ends up having some success, it's likely to get a sequel, and fans needn't worry about it, or any of the other projects mentioned, being confused with the DCU Elseworld films.

In the end, let's watch The Batman: Deleted Arkham Scene (2022).
