Chapter 1

Years after the events of Order 66, with the Jedi all but extinct and the Empire ruling the galaxy, a shift in the force occurs.

Light years away, on Dathomir, a planet known for its extreme heat and volcanic landscape. A sith lord emerges from the shadows of exile. Darth Maul was once a prominent Sith Lord under the apprenticeship of Darth Sidious.

Darth Maul had previously defeated Jedi Master Qui-Gon-Jinn on Naboo during the events of the Phantom Menace before being defeated by Obi-Wan Kenobi, thus being expelled into exile.

Many thought Maul was dead, including his former master Lord Sidious. After Maul’s presumed Death, Lord Sidious began his search for a new apprentice.

Years later though, Maul is back and hungry for vengeance. With the Jedi Order all but extinct, Maul sees an opportunity to exact his revenge. Not against Obi-Wan, but against Lord Sidious, his former master who killed his brother, Savage Opress.

In a surprising act of unity, Maul searches the Galaxy for Obi-Wan Kenobi, one of the only surviving Jedi. Maul, who has spent the last years building up his strength on Dathomir, tracks Obi-Wan to the deserts of Tatooine.

Chapter 2

Obi-Wan assumes Maul is there to exact his revenge after Obi-Wan chopped his legs years prior. In an act of self defense, Obi-Wan attacks the former Sith. A short battle ensues before Maul subdues Obi-Wan. Rather than killing him, Maul offers an ultimatum.

“Obi-Wan, my old nemesis. I know the pain you are in. Your former padawan, Anakin Skywalker, has been engulfed by the Dark Side and by Lord Sidious. Join me and we can defeat Lord Sidious once and for all.”

Obi-Wan, surprised to see Maul, assuming he was dead, offers a rebuttal.

“How did you find me?”

“You still underestimate the power of the Dark Side, Obi-Wan. If I was able to find you, I only imagine Lord Sidious is not far behind.”

“So if not to the Sith and Lord Sidious, where do your allegiances lie?”

“My only allegiance is vengeance. Lord Sidious killed my brother. I must have my revenge”

“We need a plan, Obi Wan proclaims, Clone Troopers have overrun the Jedi Temple. It’s likely we will meet heavy resistance at the senate building.”

“If we sneak in through the ventilation shafts of the senate building, we should be able to sneak in undetected.”

As their ship descends upon Corscunant, where the Jedi Order once resided, Obi-Wan turns pale. The once lively Corscunant, a staple of democracy, is now dark and lifeless under the rule of the Empire. Obi-Wan is overwhelmed with emotion and guilt. “Why am I the Jedi that has been chosen to survive?” “Am I betraying all that the Jedi stood for by teaming up with an Old Sith Lord?”

Chapter 3

The city is engulfed in flames, as the Empire imposes its strict rule on the citizens. Pockets of resistance that are still loyal to the republic fight valiantly against the Empire. All throughout the city is crawling with Imperial patrols, searching for any remaining Jedi.

Obi-Wan and Darth Maul trudge their way through the planet's sewage system in an attempt to avoid capture.

As the emerge from the sewage system and approach the senate building, a cloud of doubt fills Obi-Wan's mind.

“It isn’t like Lord Sidious to leave the building unguarded. I fear we may be walking into a trip”

“Whatever they have in store for us, we will be ready for.” Maul responds.

Cautiously, the two enter the building. Obi-Wan observes the unusual lack of activity in the building.

“These Halls are usually full of senators, I fear what Lord Sidious may have done to the senators who don’t see things his way.”

Chapter 4

As the duo makes their way to the chamber levels, they are confronted by a group of clones who are guarding one of the exterior platforms.

Without hesitation, Maul ignites his duel lightsabers. Before Obi-Wan could even make a move, Maul eliminates the clone troopers, showing that his strength has not diminished all these years later.

Obi-Wan and Maul enter the senators chamber, where they see Sidious conversing with a number of senators.

Before Sidious can tell the Senators to leave, Maul in a fit of rage, force grabs a senator and kills him with his dual lightsaber.

Sidious turns and confronts his former apprentice.

“What a welcome sight this is. My failed apprentice.”

“The only one who has failed is you, my former master.”

In a moment of uncontrolled rage, Maul lunges at Sidious who ignites his lightsaber.

“I see my training is still evident in you,” Sidious grunts

“I have spent years longing for this moment,” Maul exclaims as he charges at Sidious.

Sidious narrowly dodges Mauls attack, “Your strength has doubled since we last met, and so has your anger”

Maul attacks again, this time striking Sidious on his arm, which temporarily phases the Sith Lord.

Sidious sends a bolt of lightning through his finger tips, Maul reacts quickly and deflects the attack.

Sidious strikes a second time with force lightning, this time temporarily paralyzing Maul, sending him falling to the ground.

“You have put up a valiant effort, but you have lost.”

Chapter 5

Meanwhile, on the other side of the senate, Obi-Wan takes it upon himself to rescue a number of frightened senators who oppose the Sith’s reemergence in the galaxy.

Obi-Wan discovers senators Bail Organa, Satine Kryze and Padme Amidala all being held hostage by 501st division clone troopers.

The sound of blaster shots fill the senate corridors as Obi-Wan strikes, taking out two clone troopers with a single swing of his blue lightsaber.

“Senators, please follow me” Obi-Wan instructs

“Master Kenobi, we are relieved to see you.”

“We heard reports that all the Jedi are dead, that the republic is no more” Padme Amidala explains

After ensuring the Senators get to safety, Obi-Wan returns to the senate building to assist Maul.

Chapter 6

Obi-Wan rushes back to the chambers, knowing his only chance of defeating Lord Sidious is with the help of Darth Maul. As he makes his way down the long corridor and into the chancellor's office, he notices Sidious about to strike an paralysed maul Maul. Obi-Wan instincts kick in, as he jumps into action, halting the oncoming strike.

Obi-Wan, now standing over Maul, challenges Sidious.

“You won’t get away with this Sidious. The Sith are destined for exile.”

Sidious grunts as he lunges at Obi-Wan, forcing him to leap over the Sith lords' advance.

In a moment of temptation Maul contemplates killing both Obi-Wan and Sidious, before he remembers how Obi-Wan saved his life. Maul rises to his feet, retrieves his lightsaber and sprint to rejoin the fight against Lord Sidious.

Maul sneaks up on Lord Sidious and strikes him in the back, weakening the Sith Lord. Obi-Wan then lunges at the ailing Sidious, forcing him onto his back.

Maul and Kenobi stand over Sidious, who cowers as he prepares to accept his defeat.

“It’s over, Dark Lord. The Sith have failed.” Obi-Wan declares.

“You are wrong Master Jedi, even if you defeat me Lord Vader will take my place and bring order to the Galaxy.”

“Goodbye, my Master” Maul inserts his lightsaber into Sidious, who lets out an agonizing screech.

“I’ve avenged you, Savage, my brother!” Maul exclaims, knowing his brother is listening through the force.

Maul and Obi-Wan exchange unspoken looks of gratitude towards each other. Deep down they both know the next time they meet could be as enemies.

Following the death of Lord Sidious, Maul returns to Dathomir where he spreads the news of his victory over the one responsible for the death of his brother.

Chapter 7

Growing suspicious of the lack of communication from his Sith Master, Anakin returns to Coruscant where he leads a battalion of 501st troops into the Senate building, in search of his Master.

Upon reaching Lord Sidious chambers, he discovers his master, clinging to life.

“Master, what’s happened?!”

“Anakin, a new threat in the galaxy has emerged. My former apprentice has returned from the dead”

“If only I was here sooner, I could have saved you master” Anakin says, as anger and regret fill his mind.

With his last breath, Sidious offers a final command.

“Hunt down my killers, Anakin. Do whatever you can to preserve the Sith.”

“Anakin begins to question his abilities without his master there to guide him. Am I strong enough to control the entire galaxy myself? It’s only a matter of time before I am forced to face a threat greater than I can imagine.”

Elsewhere, Obi-Wan, along with the rescued senators, reunite with Master Yoda. The mastermind behind the return of the Sith has been defeated. Now, a new challenge persists. Defeating Darth Vader, before he can spread the Dark Side to the rest of the Galaxy.
