What Video game deserves its own movie or show?

With the new season of The Last of Us just around the corner and the premiere of The Minecraft Movie also close to release, I'm curious to hear what videogame other people would like to see make its splash in a new form of media.

For me, it would have to be a Red Dead Redemption show. Loved playing both the games and both (especially the second one) already have a great cinematic feeling and would seemlessly transition into a TV show. I would also love to see a new fanbase swarm to this show and would love to see thier reactions to the emotional rollercoster that this wild west era game presents.

I agree with RDR, but I'd want to see it as a movie. I also think the story of GTA 4 would make for a great adaptation

I'd love to see someone take the Sims IP and do something really crazy with it, kind of in their vein of a Severance-esque sci-fi. Would it be a faithful adaptation, no, but I think it would be funny af

Ooh, or also one of the horse girl games I played as a kid, so basically a film that starts out as a normal inspirational horse story and THEN devolves into a weirdly disturbing sci-fi

Metal Gear Solid. Like the story and characters are already pretty much fleshed out. And the fanbase is enormous.

Hellblade would make for one seriously epic Norse-myth action/horror/fantasy film. Imagine The Northman meets Dante's Inferno with monster battles and a schizophrenic protagonist. Get Villeneuve directing and Peter Jackson producing and you've got box office GOLD.

The best part about video game adaptations for me is that I don't play video games so they all feel super fresh.

Anyone think Contra might be a good idea? And has anyone watched "Tetris"? It shows a totally different take of game adaptation.
