Stefan Schwartz

Stefan Schwartz is a British-Canadian director, writer, and actor, educated at the University of York. He launched his directing career in feature film, collaborating early on with York peers, and progressed into television by directing and writing for diverse series. Schwartz’s working method emphasizes collaboration with writers, producers, and actors, and he often directs episodes in long-form serial television. He also co-founded a digital innovation with Idris Elba, developing an iOS app that animates reading of screenplays in multiple character voices. Over time, he has alternated between film and TV, moving from independent features to high-profile series.
