Storyline:  David, an advanced mecha with real emotions, is adopted by Monica as a substitute for her cryogenically frozen son. When the return of Monica's biological son disrupts David's life, he is forced to question his existence and the meaning of love. Now David must find his place in the world and prove his worth as a sentient being, feeling jealousy, rejection and the limitations of his artificial nature.
