Storyline:  A lawyer, Arthur Kipps, is sent to a village to put in order the legal affairs of a house for sale. A routine assignment becomes a puzzling enigma when Arthur notices that the neighbours choose to avoid the house and he believes it may be related to the ubiquitous presence of an enigmatic woman in black. In this terrifying, fantasy-tinged tale, it is Arthur's sanity that is in question, troubled by his recent widowhood: a suspenseful and disturbing ghost story.
