From 2003 to 2004, in a span of less than a year, Yoo Young-chul killed a total of 20 people in various parts of Seoul, targeting victims including wealthy elderly people, masseuses, and young women. The large number of brutal murders he committed, cruel methods of killing he used, and grotesque dismemberment of bodies were horrific and unprecedented.
Creepy as hell, but the good kind.Cool, dynamic pacing in storytelling and editing, but there's either a lot of attention given to characters who only appear once or twice, or an overall arch that's not organized enough in its smaller bits, because sometimes I realize I have no idea how much time passed between one fact and the next, or when someone mentions it on screen, so much has happened or been said in between, I'll be taken aback about it. Regardless, an enticing tale and terrifying actual story which does succeed in freaking us out loads, and a cool watch docu-series-wise.
