5 best movies and series with Pedro Pascal

Pedro Pascal Se Declarou Como LGBTQIA+? Entenda

Pedro Pascal is one of the biggest names of the moment, starring in two of today's biggest series: "The Last Of Us" and “The Mandalorian”. But this great phase of his career didn't come all of a sudden.

Before he became the hottest mustache in Hollywood and the most beloved solo dad in entertainment, he went through many other productions before becoming the icon he has become. And it was several very good movies and series (and some not so good) that paved the way to this point.

So much so that, although he has been on screen since mid-1996, the Chilean actor only became a real household name after his appearance in "Game Of Thrones" in 2014. But it was enough for everyone to want to know more about him, and from then on there was no shortage of invitations to great stories.

So, if "The Last Of Us" and The Mandalorian aren't enough and you still want more of the actor on your screen, Canaltech has listed 5 of the best movies and series with Pedro Pascal.

5. "Game Of Thrones"

Game Of Thrones' Pedro Pascal Joins Kingsman: The Golden Circle

Although Pedro Pascal had been doing various jobs in Hollywood since the mid-1990s, his real debut to stardom was with "Game Of Thrones". And the curious thing is that his stint is relatively short, with only seven episodes in the fourth season. However, his interpretation of Oberyn Martell is so magnetizing that he has won over the world in a very short time.

Even though the character is a kind of Arab of Westeros, all the actor's Latin gingado served to make the character both charming and deadly. His interactions with Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) are among the best things about the series as a whole.

4. "Triple Frontier"

Triple Frontier' review: Netflix thriller is convincing, provocative

The success of "Narcos" has put Pascal in the path of several other similar works, but ones that have always worked very well in the movies. And "Triple Frontier" is another one of those movies that show a task force trying to deal with organized drug trafficking crime in South America - but with some differences that make it more interesting than the old cliché.

Alongside the likes of Ben Affleck, Oscar Isaac, and Charlie Hunnam, Pedro Pascal stars as a member of a group made up of ex-soldiers trying to rob a crime lord on the border between Brazil, Peru, and Colombia. But this incursion into the Amazon is complicated when the plan goes wrong and the team becomes suspicious of themselves, causing them to fight for their lives with all their might.

3. Kingsman: Golden Circle

Kingsman: The Golden Circle' trailer suggests Pedro Pascal will steal it – Metro US

The Kingsman series gave a nice revival in spy stories by bringing a more humorous tone to a genre marked by the figure of James Bond. And with The Golden Circle, we see how secret agents can really take on different guises with the arrival of Whiskey, Pedro Pascal's character.

He is part of a division of American agents and, together with Channing Tatum, Jeff Bridges, and Halle Berry, help the team of protagonists to hunt down the biggest drug dealer in the world. And, as expected, Pascal steals the show whenever he appears.

2. "The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent"

"The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent" is a film that deserves to be seen just for its premise. In the feature film, Nicolas Cage lives himself in the midst of a bad phase of his career. He is a caricature and a canastron, living only on past successes, with one failure after another - which is quite realistic. Unable to get a new contract, he is hired by a tycoon who is a fan of his and wants the actor to come to his birthday party.

This billionaire is our beloved Pedro Pascal, who plays this fan who is in love with Cage's antics and will do anything to be near his idol. And, at the same time that the actor begins to enjoy the company, he discovers that his admirer is a dangerous international wanted man.

1. "Narcos"

Before "The Last Of Us" and The Mandalorian, "Narcos" was Pedro Pascal's big series. Produced by Netflix on the true story for the hunt for Pablo Escobar, it leaned heavily on the success the actor had in "Game Of Thrones" and knew how to take advantage of his charisma and personality to turn him into the true protagonist of the plot.

So much so that, even after Wagner Moura's departure, it was his Javier Peña who held the reins until the conclusion of the last season and raised the ball for the appearance of the prequel "Narcos": Mexico.
