An In-depth Analysis of the Costumes of the brides in “Game of Thrones”

The most beautiful bride in the whole drama is the two supporting roles. They are not luxuriously dressed, but they are all beautiful.

One is Roslin Foyle, the girl of Robb's regretful marriage. At the red wedding, she wore a grass-green dress and a lace veil... When Robb lifted the veil, he should have regrated ten thousand times.

There is very little information about the dress. I only know that the designer bought the material from Italy not provided by the crew.

The other is Lyanna Stark. The gauze dress she wore at the wedding with Prince Rhaegar was in line with the character's situation and was exquisite enough. It is the best wedding dress in GoT in my mind.

The dress is mint green in the stills, but light blue in the drama. Only after the official tidbits, interviews, or touring exhibitions, can we know the exact color.

A secret wedding could not be grand, and it was in hot Dorne. The dresses had to be light and simple.

Beautiful leaf sashes wrapped around Lyanna's body, and the three-dimensional collar was like the traditional collar of noblewomen in the North. The tulle underlayer is just barely shimmering with gold. The decoration is low-key but elegant.

No matter how beautiful the dress is, it can't make up for the blow brought by the version of Prince Rhaegar. Was he the most handsome man in the Seven Kingdoms? Was he the most beautiful man in the ice and fire? Seriously? So I had to cut him off from the picture.

Here is the new couple's hand-binding ceremony that all wedding ceremonies in GoT must go through again. The flamboyant Joffrey used a golden beaded tie (left), and Lianna and the others only had a bare one (right) due to the conditions.

This wedding custom is called "handfasting". It originated in Scotland in the 16th and 17th centuries.

In the past few years, mainly neo-pagans do the ceremony. But because the influence of GoT blows to the wedding market, now more and more people add it to their weddings.
